The solution. . .

The West Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Rural Transport Partnership was set up in 2002. We are an alliance of local organisations working together to solve the transport problems of the area.

We aim to help secure long-term improvement in people's access to jobs, facilities and social activities, to encourage alternatives to the car and to promote sustainable access to the countryside for visitors.

We cover the western half of Cornwall (including the towns) and the Isles of Scilly.

We provide:

Advice and information on all aspects of rural transport, including how to identify your local community's needs and what kind of solutions may work in your locality.

A source of funding for your transport project. We can advise you on potential sources of funds.

Help with researching and developing your transport ideas - drawing on best practice from across the country and providing access to specialist organisations such as the Community Transport Association.

We are funded by:

Cornwall County Council
Carrick, Kerrier and Penwith District Councils
South West of England Regional Development Agency
